Developing Hope Center
One of the best ways to show your support is to make a contribution to Hope Center.  In an era of uncertain government funding, Hope Center helps insure that the quality of service we offer is not compromised. Hope Center is a non-profit 501c(3), non-denominational agency serving clients with developmental disabilities.  We promote excellence in every program and service that we provide, to maintain this level of excellence we are reliant on your support.

Making a gift to Hope Center is safe and secure.
We have put in place firm privacy and security programs to keep our site safe and secure for all our visitors. Maintaining your privacy is critical to us. Because your privacy and security is our highest priority, Hope Center has taken several steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially and accurately.

Matching Gifts
Many companies support a charitable "Matching Gifts" program. Check with your employer on their matching gift policy when making a donation to Hope Center. If they do have a matching gifts program they will give you the information needed to designate Hope Center as your chosen charity. The company will then notify Hope Center of your donation and forward necessary documents verifying our non-profit status. We will complete the process and notify you, the donor, of the contribution from the company in their name.

Ways to Donate
Hope Center offers many ways to support us.  A general donation to Hope Center ensures that adults with development disabilities receive hope and encouragement through our program.  Opportunities for individual contributions include general donations, Hope-O-Grams, Vine of Life, Program Support, Plaques and Tiles for Training.  The amount of your gift is never mentioned and a separate acknowledgement is sent to the donor. All gifts are tax deductible.

  • Hope-O-Grams $10.00
A beautiful card with Hope Center’s logo and a brief description of the services we offer will be sent in honor/memory of an individual.

  • Program Support $20.00
Formerly known as scholarship support this money goes back into the General Operating Support of Hope Center.  A card is sent to the recipient.

  • Vine of Life $35.00
Located in the front lobby of Hope Center.  Names are separated into panels for honoriums or memorial.

  • Tiles for Training $100.00
Each brick is engraved in honor/memory of someone.  The name is placed on the brick and then it is placed outside of the workshop.

  • Plaques $1,000.00
Beginning at $1,000 a plaque is a great way to support Hope Center.  Please contact the Development Office for more details.

Planned Giving
In these times of uncertain economy, we must think of the future with a positive plan. Our clients and families are our first concern.  To insure this, we need your assistance.

There are a number of ways that a person can plan an estate that attends to the concerns of their own family as well as meeting the needs of Hope Center.

An estate plan encompasses directives that have a positive impact during one's lifetime. An estate plan is a design for the conservation, use, growth and ultimate disposition of assets during our working years, through retirement and after we die.

There are several ways to incorporate charitable giving into an estate plan, such as charitable gifts, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance or retirement benefits, real estate and charitable lead trusts.

Remember to keep your estate plan up-to-date. As important as creating a plan is making certain that its provisions always meet your needs and goals. Changes in your personal and financial circumstance as well as changes in tax laws and the rate of inflation are excellent reasons to review your plans.

Your financial planner can help you determine what is right for you at the right time.

Ways To Give…
Charitable gift by will - The most common type of estate gift is providing a bequest of cash, personal property or real estate. Such gifts are not subject to federal estate tax.

Charitable remainder trust – establishing an irrevocable trust that provides an annual income to the donor and/or another person for life or a period of years is often an effective way to make a gift. Such trusts may be set up by the donor’s will, directing the income to another person such as a child or spouse for life or a period of years, followed by the principal going to a favorite charity.

Life insurance or retirement benefits — A charity may be designated as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Or, choose to make the charity the owner of a life insurance policy to benefit from current income tax advantages. Some people discover that the original reason for purchasing the policy no longer exists, and it becomes an asset that can be redirected or donated. A charity can also be designated as the beneficiary of a profit-sharing plan, IRA, or other retirement plan.

Gift of your home — You may make a gift of your personal residence to a charity and retain the right to live in the home for the rest of your life.

Charitable lead trust — You may choose to set up a trust that pays income annually to a charity for a fixed number of years. After that period, the principal of the trust reverts to you or another person, such as you child. The income paid to the charity is not taxable to you.
